Lincoln police say they recovered nearly an ounce of methamphetamine and cash on a parole absconder and in his hotel room Monday.

A Lincoln police officer on patrol recognized 39-year-old Tommy Meyer, a parole absconder, walking just north of NW 12th and I-80 around 6 p.m. Monday.

The officer located just over 26 grams, $131 in cash, two glass pipes with suspected methamphetamine, two digital scales, and four boxes of 9mm ammunition. The officer then received a warrant to search a hotel room Meyer was staying at and located nearly another gram of meth. 32-year-old Jordan Huettner was also in the hotel room at the time of the search and was arrested.

Meyer was arrested for possession with intention to deliver methamphetamine, possession of money while violating controlled substance statute 28-416, and resisting arrest.

Huettner, who also had three outstanding arrest warrants, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
