At approximately 10:15pm Lincoln Police and Lincoln Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the 600 Block of West Burt Drive on fireworks injury.  Upon arrival officers discovered a 65-year-old male had been struck by an ‘artillery shell.’  After the firework was lit, it tipped over, went off and struck the male who was watching the fireworks from his driveway.  The party was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for burns on his right arm and chest area.  The injuries were non-life-threatening and the firework was found to be a legal firework.
