LCC Staff Member Hurt During Wednesday Evening Incident

An inmate at the Lincoln Community Corrections Center is accused of assaulting a staff member on Wednesday evening. In a news release to KFOR News, the Nebraska Department of Corrections said an inmate pushed several other inmates from the back and then pushed a staff member, causing the front of her head to hit a window, leaving her with a broken tooth. The inmate admitted to staff members to using K2 or synthetic marijuana. An investigation is ongoing.
