Woman Hits Accelerator, Car Hits Front Side of Store

LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 29)–A 75-year-old woman accidentally hit the gas pedal and her car hit the front wall of the Dollar General store in East Park Plaza on Monday night.

Lincoln Police say the woman told them she thought her car was in reverse and hit the gas, accelerated forward into the store.  Damage to the front wall was estimated at $10,000.  The woman was taken to the hospital complaining of pain.

Police say the store is back on open.
