LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 25)–An investigation is underway involving a hit and run late Tuesday night at SW 27th and West “O” Street that sent a 43-year-old woman in a wheelchair to the hospital in critical but stable condition.

According to Lincoln Police Captain Ryan Dale, they are looking for a white vehicle, but details about the make and model are still under investigation. CPR was being administered at the time to bring the woman’s pulse back. Captain Dale tells KFOR News there is no sidewalk in that area and victim was in the eastbound lanes of “O” Street when she was hit.  It’s unclear why she was out in traffic, since there is a service road parallel to the eastbound lanes of “O” Street.

Traffic in the area was shutdown for about 90 minutes before reopening around 1am Wednesday.  If you have information on this case, call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
