LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 27)–The identity of a pilot killed in a plane crash in northeast Nebraska on Monday has been released.

The Nebraska State Patrol on Tuesday said 73-year-old Joseph Rudloff of Norfolk died in the crash around 9:30am Monday four miles southwest of Crofton in Knox County.  Rudloff was the lone person on board at the time.

A second plane crash occurred a short time later near Wayne. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigating agency on that incident. Details will be released by the Sheriff’s Office when possible.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating both crashes.
