Victim Identified In Friday Night Fatal Crash on West “O” Street

LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 4)–Lincoln Police identified the man killed in a crash late Friday night near NW 40th and West “O” Street as 32-year-old Chance Wineberger, after his westbound SUV crossed the median and hit an eastbound pickup truck, sending that into the ditch.

Wineberger’s SUV ended up on its top and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sgt. Angela Sands.

Two others in the truck were taken to the hospital, one serious, the other with minor injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this crash.
