UPDATE: I-80 Reopens After Fatality Crash

Our media partner 1011 Now reports I-80 westbound has reopened near MM 388 (Pleasant Dale Exit) following a serious crash.

The preliminary investigation shows that a Dodge Ram pickup truck pulling a camper was traveling westbound on I-80 when it failed to yield to a semi-truck slowing in front of
it. The drivers were the sole occupants of both vehicles.

Traffic was slowed down to one lane due to a construction zone.

The accident resulted in one fatality.
