On July 1, 2019, a homicide occurred at Crystal Springs Park just southwest of Fairbury states the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Throughout the investigation, five individuals have been arrested who are suspected to be connected to the homicide. Trey Saathoff was located on Friday, July 5th and found to be connected to the crime and has now been charged with accessory to 2nd Degree Murder.

On Sunday, July 7th, suspects Jerry Gilbert and Caitlyn Grable were arrested after a brief standoff. Gilbert was charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Grable for accessory to 2nd Degree Murder.

Monday, July 8th, the homicide victim was located on a country road south of Endicott, reports the Jefferson County Sheriffs. The victim has been identified as Marc C. Jarrell, 28, of Lincoln.

On Tuesday, July 9th, Realidy Schram was arrested and on Wednesday, July 10, Logan Evans, 20,
of Beatrice was arrested, both on charges of being an accessory to 2nd degree murder.

The investigation remains ongoing.
