Tuesday Morning Crash Sends Five People to Hospitals
LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 15)–Five people were sent to Lincoln hospitals after a two-vehicle crash at 54th and Saltillo on Tuesday morning.
Lancaster County Chief Deputy Sheriff Ben Houchin tells KFOR News no citations have been issued yet in this case.
“They’re still going through and doing the investigation on what exactly happened,” Houchin said. “Citations could certainly be issued in this crash.”
It was around 8:15am Tuesday, when an eastbound van from Kansas apparently didn’t stop for a stop sign at the intersection, but a northbound car did stop first and proceeded to turn onto westbound Saltillo Road when the van T-boned it.
Three people were in the van and two were in a car. Injuries are not life-threatening, according to Houchin. The T-intersection is marked with stop signs for all directions.
