The International Thespian Festival is currently taking place at the University of Nebraska here in Lincoln, but one troupe is doing more than just the play.

One of the troupes is doing a play called 26 Pebbles, based on the disaster at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. Part of the set is more than 150 stuffed bears. Upon completion of the performances, the troupe is going to donate the stuffed bears to Lincoln Fire Rescue.

LFR gives every pediatric patient a stuffed animal when transported to the hospital and they plan to store the bears and give them to patients in the community.
