Traffic Stop Leads To Found Stolen Gun

A traffic stop Sunday at 17th and “J” lead to an arrest, where a man had a handgun that was discovered under the passenger seat . Lincoln Police say 20-year-old Jeramiah Jones was pulled over for having no license plate on the back of his car and had been driving under suspension.

As police were looking through the car, they found a loaded nine millimeter handgun, which was stolen out of Omaha between April and May of 2019. Jensen was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person along with the suspended driving charge.
