Teen Referred for Recent Groping Cases in Northeast Lincoln

LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 30)–Police on Tuesday afternoon arrested a suspect in the recent groping cases in northeast Lincoln.

LPD public information manager Erika Thomas says officers were called to 51st and Madison, after someone saw a person fitting the description of the suspect, who was riding his bike in the area. Investigators tracked the suspect, a 17-year-old, to 48th and Huntington, where they determined the teen was the person responsible for these incidents dating back to September 30.

The teen was referred for eight counts of third-degree sexual assault and taken to CEDARS Youth Services.
