LINCOLN–(KFOR Dec. 6)–Several students being uncooperative that prompted concerns from administrators at a high school basketball game on Thursday night had to be removed.

An email was sent out late Thursday night to parents of Lincoln East and Lincoln Southwest High Schools, discussing a situation during a boys basketball game at East, where students didn’t comply with school staff directives. LPS said in the email, several students were throwing items and yelling inappropriate comments at others and administrators from both schools determined it was unsafe and suspended the game in the third quarter, until both student sections were removed from the gym.

The game later resumed, with Southwest winning 62-46. In addition to school administrators, Lincoln Police were on site to make sure those students left East’s campus.
