Southeast Nebraska Community Safe, After Residents Evacuated Due to Large Grass Fire

BROCK–(KFOR Oct. 30)–No reports of any injuries or damage, after a large grass fire Tuesday afternoon in Nemaha County.
The fire prompted the evacuation of the town of Brock, after the fire was reported on the north side of Highway 136, about two miles east of Johnson. Fire departments from Johnson, Brock, Auburn, Julian, Tecumseh, Talmage and Elk Creek responded. After about four hours, most of the fire was contained. It was around 8:45pm Tuesday that Brock residents were able to return home.
No official word yet on what caused the fire.
