Saturday is Nat’l Take Back Prescription Drug Day

(KFOR NEWS  October 25, 2019)  Hy-Vee’s way of combating the opioid epidemic is by installing drug take-back receptacles in all its pharmacy locations.

Hy-Vee is also limiting to 7 days the initial amount of opioids prescribed for certain types of acute pain.  Hy-Vee also offers Naloxone without a prescription.  Naloxone can be administered to any person who is overdosing on opioids.

To find a location closest to you where you can drop off unused drugs, go to the KFOR NEWS podcast link at kfornow.com.
