LINCOLN–(News Release)– John Bezdicek tossed Lincoln’s fourth straight quality start and the Saltdogs beat the Lake Country DockHounds 4-3 Haymarket Park on Tuesday night.

Bezdicek allowed just two runs over a season-high six innings, and the left-hander won his first game as the Saltdogs (12-15) extended their season-best four-game winning streak.

CF Nick Anderson extended his on-base streak to 12 with two hits and a walk. He gave Lincoln a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the 1st and extended the lead with his 10th homer – a two-run shot – that made it 3-0 in the 3rd. Anderson now has walks in eight straight games.

Lincoln got a run back on an RBI double from RF Zane Zurburgg in the 4th inning, but Lake Country got back within two runs with a leadoff homer from 3B Omar Meregildo in the 5th.

LHP Steffon Moore earned his second save in the 9th inning. After DH Brian Rey singled in a run, Moore eventually struck out CF Thomas Jones with the bases loaded to end the game.

RHP Nic Laio worked the 7th and 8th innings, allowing just one hit with one walk and one strikeout.
