LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 8)–Lincoln Police are investigating three shootings that happened late Saturday night and early Sunday morning across the area, including a 24-year-old Lincoln man that died.

According to LPD, officers were called around 1:30am Sunday to the area of 11th Street between “O” and “P” Street about a fight.  Two men were found with gunshot wounds and both were taken to a Lincoln hospital, where a 24-year-old man passed away shortly after 5:30am.  The other victim, a Lincoln man in his 40s, is in stable condition with non life-threatening injuries.

Late Saturday, around 11:30pm, police were called to 33rd and Holdrege about a report of gunshots.  Investigators found a 20-year-old Lincoln woman with gunshot wounds, where she was then taken to a hospital and her conditioin is stable.

The third shooting happened about 7:45pm Saturday in the area of 20th and Cornhusker Highway, where officers were told 51-year-old David Blackburn of Lincoln had shot several rounds at a building, after he and another person had gotten into an argument.

Police found a vehicle to have a bullet hole on the rear passenger side and soon found six bullet holes in the exterior wall by the door.  Blackburn was tracked down at a nearby motel with a gun and he was arrested for attempted second-degree assault, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, discharge a firearm near a vehicle/building and terroristic threats.
