It was another defeat for the Nebraska Cornhuskers to the Purdue Boilmakers. The first quarter went well for the Huskers as they scored a touchdown and also scored a field goal while the defense held back Purdue’s offense from scoring. However by the second quarter, Purdue started to make drives down the field that strode pass the Nebraska defense earning a touchdown halfway through the second quarter and another at the end of the quarter with halftime score being 14-10.

The start of the third quarter gave the Huskers hope though, as they managed to get down the field but only managed to get a field goal leaving them 1 point behind the Boilmakers. Yet Purdue managed their way down the field to also score a field goal near the end of the third quarter, with the score now being 17-13. The fourth quarter started with Adrian Martinez (returning to play after an injury against Northwestern) scoring touchdown to put Nebraska ahead put Purdue managed to slip by the defense again and scored a touchdown staying ahead of the Huskers by three points. However this did not dim the Huskers’ hopes as they drove down field for Martinez to score another touchdown for Nebraska. Even without their starting quarterback Jack Plummer, Purdue made their way down the field again in the final minutes of the game to score another touchdown with the final score being 31-27.

The Huskers enter another bye week and after they will face Wisconsin the following Saturday.
