The Nebraska Department of Transportation is offering a fourth round of their County Bridge Match Program.

Nebraska has hundreds of deficient county bridges, and the program helps pay for repairing or replacing them. Round four will distribute $4 million to counties.

The first three rounds have provided $12 million to replace or repair 200 bridges on county roads. The State funds 55 percent, and the counties pay 45 percent. Counties have to apply for the money by early December, and will learn by mid-January whether they’re among the winners.
