DAVEY–(KFOR Sept. 3)–The man who died after an UTV accident Sunday night in northern Lancaster County has been identified as 45-year-old Andrew Koss of Madison, Nebraska.

Lancaster County Sheriff’s Captain John Vik on Tuesday said the initial investigation revealed that Koss was a passenger in the UTV, carrying four other passengers and the driver, when he was trying to change spots as it was moving westbound in the area of 1st and Davey Road, when he apparently stepped out and fell to the road.

Koss was flown to a Lincoln hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. No citations or arrests have been made. Captain Vik says investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the incident.

First responders in addition to LSO included Lincoln Fire and Rescue, Raymond Volunteer Fire and StarCare.
