LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 10)–Lincoln Police are investigating a deadly crash from late Monday night in the area of Highway 77 and West Van Dorn.

Lt. Jason Goodwin tells KFOR News that truck left the road and rolled into a ditch, into a nearby creek off of South Folsom Street and West Prospector Circle. It’s not exactly clear yet what led to the crash, but there’s suspicion that a witness may have seen the truck going at a high-rate of speed than the posted speed limit.

The 31-year-old Lincoln man driving the truck was pronounced dead at the scene and his name has not yet been released, pending notification of relatives.

Another collision happened late Monday night at South Folsom and West “A” Street, where a vehicle lost control hit a parked car in a driveway, fences and a power pole at a high-rate of speed. No other details were available from LPD, as that investigation is ongoing.
