It’s been a long, long, amazing, adventurous, bougie AF few weeks of adventure. But I’m BACK!

I did the thing, tied the knot! And then promptly skipped town for a European honeymoon for the record books.

First we hit Rome, Italy. I’ve never been before and it was pretty magical. Except of course, the f’n jet lag. That is no joke. We got in at 11am Rome time, and had to try SO HARD to stay up till about 8pm when we totally passed out. I was fully awake the next day by 5am. Fun. In a city where they don’t really serve breakfast.

Jokes aside, Rome was freakin’ magical. Day one we coined “abondanza” (abundance) because we went on a winery tour followed by a 13-course, Michellin star rated meal. I ate literal gold for desert.

On Sunday it was all about sight-seeing. So we hit the Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum and of course, the Colosseum. With so little time to explore, we had to pick one place to actually purchase tickets and go inside, so the Colosseum was it. Pretty incredible to be standing where people cheered and jeered gladiators hundreds of years prior.

We ate delicious Carbonara, so so so much bread and olive oil, drank all the wine, and then we got on a train for Naples. Stay tuned for my next blog about the Amalfi Coast.
