Man Dies After UTV Accident Sunday Night Near Davey

DAVEY—(KFOR Sept. 2)—A northeast Nebraska man died following an ATV/UTV accident Sunday night in northern Lancaster County.

According to a news release from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened in the area of 1st Street and Davey Road.  A 45-year-old man from Madison was on the 2021 Kawasaki Mule UTV as a passenger and tried to move positions while it was westbound on Davey Road, but fell out and suffered life-threatening injuries.

The victim was taken to Bryan West Campus, where he later died.  His name has not yet been released, pending notification of relatives.  Five other people and a driver on the UTV were not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
