LINCOLN–(KFOR August 28)–Lincoln School Board members Tuesday night passed LPS’ 2019-20 general fund budget worth nearly $460-million.  It includes money which focuses on student grown and learning.

School officials say it’s a 3.3% increase primarily driven by salary increases, more teachers and three more early childhood classrooms. The budget will use $3.5-million from the district’s cash reserve to help pay the nearly $15-million increase, while facing a reduction of state aid by 9%.

This year’s state aid was only $133-million. The general fund tax will stay the same at $1.04 per $100 of assessed valuation.
