LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 15)–Lincoln Police were able to recover a stolen vehicle on Thursday morning after it was stolen from a neighborhood just south of 14th and Superior.

Police were then called to 72nd and Adams on reports of a suspicious man in a vehicle, where they found 41 year old Shawn Cleary behind the wheel of the stolen car. He was arrested for possession of stolen property, and was also charged for the robbery of a storage unit which occurred in October.

Police say the owner of the car was warming it up when he went back inside, then came back out later and it was gone.

LPD suggests you never leave your vehicle unattended, if you don’t have a remote car starter.
