Lincoln Police Investigating Fatal Crash at 12th and O Street

LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 30)The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday morning just after 6 am near 12th and O street. LPD Captain Todd Kocian told KFOR News the preliminary investigation determined a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora driven by a 57-year-old man was eastbound on O street between 12th and 13th when it crossed over the westbound lanes, striking the north curb and a tree. The driver was transported to a local hospital where he died. His identity is being withheld pending family notification. Traffic on O street is closed in both directions while investigators process the scene.
