Lincoln Man Cited For Accidentally Wounding Himself with Gun at Assisted Living Facility

LINCOLN–(KFOR Dec. 6)–An accidental shooting wounded a 25-year-old Lincoln man, after he used the restroom of an assisted living center near 56th and Pioneers on Wednesday afternoon.
LPD public information manager Erika Thomas says the man was working on the property had come inside to use the restroom. While inside, his 9mm handgun went off while inside its holster while he was putting it back on, hitting him in the groin and leg area.
Thomas says the wound was not life-threatening and the man was hospitalized, before he was cited and released for discharging a firearm.
