LINCOLN–(KFOR Dec. 2)–One person was arrested late Saturday night after a pursuit that happened following a domestic disturbance in Lancaster County.

In a release sent to KFOR News on Monday, the Nebraska State Patrol said a suspect took off from a reported assault and fled in a truck. A trooper found the truck as it was heading westbound on Highway 6 near Greenwood, where a traffic stop was attempted but the driver refused and took off, reaching speeds of over 100 mph. The State Patrol’s AirWing was following the truck and tracked it on county roads north of Lincoln, where troopers laid out stop sticks in the area of 14th and Raymond Road.

A tactical maneuver was done to stop the truck and 45-year-old Mikhail Bondarchuk of Lincoln was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving and possession of a deadly weapon.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the reported assault.
