Kamala Harris chooses Nebraska native as running mate

LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 6)-Vice President and presidential nominee Kamala Harris named Minnesota governor Tim Walz as her vice presidential selection on Tuesday.

The 60-year-old was born in West Point and graduated from Butte High School. He served in the Nebraska Army National Guard for over a decade and received his college degree from Chadron State.

The two will appear together at a rally in Philadelphia this evening.
