LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 1)–The Nebraska Football team will take on the UCLA Bruins Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium for a chance to become bowl eligible. Husker head coach Matt Rhule spoke to the media after practice on Thursday and said preparing for UCLA’s defensive line isn’t easy.

“They have, excellent, excellent, excellent defensive linemen,” Rhule said. As for the UCLA Offense, Rhule adds the Bruins are truly a West Coast offense.

“They do an excellent job of (getting the ball) out of their hands,” Rhule said. “But I think our guys (Nebraska defense) are focused.”

On Thursday, former Colorado head coach Gary Barnett told Hail Varsity Radio that the Nebraska/Colorado rivalry has been brought into the scope of preparation for UCLA associate head coach and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who was a running back for the Buffaloes.

“There’s a bunch of expletives coming out of Eric Bieniemy’s mouth this week,” Barnett said. “He’s gonna bring the Nebraska rivalry from Colorado into the UCLA locker room, I guarantee you that.”

Barnett talked about how the Bruins offense only rushes for 64 yards a game and how it may bother Bieniemy to prepare his offense for the Huskers on Saturday.

“He’s gonna be a one-man wrecking crew,” Barnett added.

Nebraska and UCLA kickoff Saturday at 2:30pm on the Big Ten Network and after the game, join up with the Real Red Reaction Show on KFOR, brought to you by Slim Chickens.
