House Catches Fire Wednesday Night In Hickman

LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 10)–A house caught fire overnight in Hickman.

According to KFOR’s media partner, 10/11 News, firefighters responded to a home east of 68th and Prairie View, where the homeowner woke up to smoke in the house and flames on the back side.

Apparently, the homeowner tried to put the fire out with a garden hose, but it spread to the roof and into the attic. It took firefighters an hour to get the fire under control. Everyone inside made it out safely.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
