LINCOLN–(KFOR/NU Athletics Sept. 23)–Nebraska men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg will undergo a medical procedure this Friday.

The Husker athletic department said in a news release to KFOR Sports Hoiberg is set to have his pacemaker replaced. This will be the second pacemaker replacement for Hoiberg, as he previously underwent the procedure in 2014. The pacemaker was originally placed in 2005 when he had open-heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm.

Hoiberg is scheduled to meet the media on Tuesday afternoon.
