Happy Birthday to Alex with a Blah Blah Pedal

Eleven years after Alex Lifeson delivered his infamous “blah blah blah” speech during Rush’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction, the guitarist is spinning the moment into a profitable venture.

Lifeson has teamed with guitar effects maker Morley to create the “Blah Blah” Wah-Wah Pedal, he’s announced. Morley technicians have created the classic effect to Lifeson’s specifications, a company spokesman says. “Wah pedals have been an essential tool of sonic expression for me since the Fly by Night album,” Lifeson says. “With the ‘wah’ side of the Blah Blah, we really wanted to capture that classic sound while also giving it a wide enough frequency response to suit modern players.”

Happy Birthday to Alex this past Tuesday (real name Aleksandar Živojinović)

The Blah Blah Wah-Wah Pedal is available now for $299.
