Garage Fire in Central Lincoln May Have Been Intentionally Set

LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 8)–Lincoln Firefighters handled a garage fire late Tuesday afternoon near 20th and “J.”
Arriving crews reported seeing heavy flames but managed to get the fire under control within 15 minutes. According to LFR, the fire started after a mattress ignited, and the fire inspector is investigating the possibility of it being intentionally set.
There was evidence of people in the garage, but no one was present when firefighters arrived. It’s currently unknown who owns the garage. The fire caused at least $3,000 in damage and damage to an adjacent house is still being assessed.
