LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 26)–A 30-year-old Fremont man is in the Lancaster County Jail, after a road rage incident where he allegedly pointed a gun at another vehicle near Highway 77 and Saltillo Road on Wednesday morning.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says the victim called 911, saying the driver of a semi hauling cattle pointed a teal-colored handgun toward him and his young daughter and having the victim fearing for his life. The semi was stopped at Highway 77 and West “O” Street.

“During the probable cause search, a teal semi-auto 9mm (handgun) was located in the back pocket of the driver’s seat,” Houchin said on Thursday.

The semi driver, Nathan Dorries, was arrested for terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and failure to disclose a firearm. Houchin says it was reported the victim apparently had cut off Dorries’ semi-truck, which may have led to the road range.

The investigation is ongoing. No one was hurt.
