LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 27)–Millard South immediately showed how powerful they are as a football team on Friday night.

The Class A No. 1 Patriots rattled off 21 straight points to start the game and never looked back in a 56-12 victory over No. 10 Lincoln Southeast at Seacrest Field to improve to 4-1.

After Southeast’s opening drive of the game stalled, the Patriots countered with a two-play drive capped off on a 55-yard touchdown run from Aamir Hill to put Millard South on the board first 7-0 barely two minutes into the game.  Running back Gabe Prucha scored the first of his three touchdowns on the next Patriot drive on a 12-yard run.  Wide-receiver Amarion Jackson then caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Jett Thomalla to make it 21-0 Millard South with 4:14 left in the first quarter.

Southeast (3-2) managed to move the ball through the air and ended the drive with quarterback Tre Bollen finding Mason Mehta on a 7-yard touchdown toss to get the Knights on the scoreboard.  The point after failed, but Southeast trailed 21-6 after the first quarter.

Prucha scored his second touchdown with 9:34 left before halftime on a 4-yard run and later caught a 40-yard screen pass for a touchdown to extend the Millard South lead to 35-6.  A Cash Buettenback pass was intercepted, and Millard south soon capitalized on a 62-yard touchdown pass from Thomalla to Jackson for a 42-6 lead with 1:28 left in the first half.

Jackson scored his third touchdown on a 40-yard pass with 6:02 left in the third to make the Patriot lead, 49-6.  Backup quarterback Blake McAndrews then scored Millard South’s final touchdown with 1:06 left in the game on an 8-yard run.

Southeast got one more final burst, when sophomore quarterback Brooks Gordon ran for a 91-yard touchdown with 34 seconds left in the game.
