LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 21)–No one was hurt after a fire broke out Sunday afternoon at a southwest Lincoln home, where some bushes caught on fire and extended into attic apace, through soffit eaves.

This happened southwest of 27th and Yankee Hill Road.

According to LFR spokesperson MJ Lierman, the gas meter was found to be leaking and crews were able to take care of the meter. Electrical failure is to blame for starting the fire and damage estimates are around $300,000.

Then around 11pm Sunday, LFR was called out to a home in Air Park, where a dryer was apparently on fire. Crews were told about smoke inside the home off of West Kingsley Street and West Zeamer Streets, but smoke was found coming from the backside of the house through some siding and got the fire quickly knocked down.

No reports of any injuries and no word yet on the damage amounts.
