Fairbury Man Accidentally Shot Himself, Prompts Lockdown Of Schools, Hospital.

FAIRBURY–(KFOR Oct. 24)–Wednesday afternoon about 75 miles southwest of Lincoln, Fairbury Public Schools and the Jefferson Community Health & Life Campus went into lockdown for about 15 minutes on a report that a man was shot. Jefferson County authorities initially said he didn’t see who who shot him, but at the hospital, told sheriff’s officials he had accidentally shot himself. At the man’s house, authorities found ammunition, gun parts and controlled substances.
