Duct Fire Reported at Lincoln’s Kawasaki Plant

LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 28)–A mechanical fire Monday morning at Lincoln’s Kawasaki plant.

According to Lincoln Fire and Rescue, there was smoldering fire in the exhaust duct work. Employees used a fire extinguisher before firefighters showed up, who then knocked it down. No reports of any injuries and the fire did not extend.

What caused the fire and damage amounts has not been determined, as of 1pm Monday.
