CRIME STOPPERS: LPD Continues Investigating Two Recent Burglary Cases
LINCOLN–(KFOR Jan. 8)–Crime Stoppers from Lincoln Police this week focuses on a burglary from nearly two months ago and surveillance video and images from a burglary at a Lincoln bowling alley that we told you about last month.
Back on Nov. 16, around 6:15am, two suspects were seen on camera at The Office at 640 West Prospector Court, where they arrived on a red 2014 Honda Rincon ATV, that was believed to be stolen from Playmakers Bar next door. LPD Forensics Technician Becky Keller told Lincoln’s Morning News on KFOR Wednesday morning one of the suspects used a pry bar to open the employee door to get inside.
Keller said both suspects tried to steal an ATM machine and when that didn’t work, they left and later returned with a concrete saw, which also failed and no access to the ATM. Both suspects are seen also trying to pry open game machines. Total loss for the ATV is $6,000 and over $1,500 worth of damage was done to the building.
Video of this incident is below.
In a story we first reported back on Dec. 18, Lincoln Police are investigating the burglary from that morning inside Hollywood Bowl north of 48th and Vine, where security cameras caught two people breaking into the bowling alley with some kind of sledgehammer or pry bar, then trying to get into a gaming machine. The two suspects were unsuccessful and ended up leaving.
Video of the Hollywood Bowl burglary is below.
