Bubba Starling will join the Kansas City Royals & be available to play, beginning Friday evening, July 12th.
It’s taken eight years for the former first-round draft pick to make it to the big leagues. Starling, now 26-years-old has struggled in the minors to live up to enormous expectations.
But he’s hitting .310 with seven homers at Triple-A Omaha & the Royals are calling him up. The onetime Nebraska football recruit signed with K.C. in 2011 for a $7.5 million bonus.
