Broken Water Pipe Prompts Evacuation of Waverly Nursing Care Center

LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 9)–A water pipe broke early Monday morning and was shooting from the ceiling above the nurse’s station at The Mulberry in Waverly.

That prompted an evacuation from the nursing care facility. Lancaster County Chief Deputy Sheriff Ben Houchin (how-chin) says 30 patients were taken to the Waverly Community Center by paramedics and fire crews. No one was hurt.

As of 9:30am Monday, no word yet on what the plan is for long-term care.
