Aubrey Trail to Change Plea

A man charged with killing a Lincoln woman will change his plea to one of the three charges against him.

52-year-old Aubrey Trail said in a court filing Thursday that he wants to plead guilty to the improper disposal of the remains of 24 year old Sidney Loofe. Trail says Loofe died accidentally and that he got rid of her body because he didn’t think law enforcement would believe him.

Both Trail and co-defendant Bailey Boswell are accused of killing Loofe in November 2017, dismembering her body and dumping the remains in rural Clay County. Both are awaiting trial.
