LINCOLN (KFOR News – 10/11/19) — The Lincoln Police Department and Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department are holding a joint fundraiser on Saturday to raise money for a new memorial to honor fallen Law Enforcement Officers. The event will take place between 10:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. at Christ Lincoln Church, located at 4235 Sumner Street. Lincoln Police Officer Angela Sands says The Tastee Trailer will be selling food for the event, and prizes will be raffled off during the event.

All proceeds from the event will go to fund a new memorial for fallen Law Enforcement Officers, which will be located outside the Lancaster County Courthouse. Construction is scheduled to begin in Fall 2021.

Donations for the project can be made to the Lincoln Police Union Memorial Fund, or by contacting Lincoln Police Union treasurer Max Hubka.
