LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 30)–Election Day is coming up in six days, but for fourth through 12th-grade students in Lincoln Public Schools and surrounding area, Wednesday is their day to vote.

The Student Vote with KFOR, sister station KFRX and LPS dates back to 1992. The mock election is designed to engage young minds in the electoral process. This year, students in fourth and fifth grades, as well as middle and high school students, will have the chance to cast their informed votes.

In 2022, Lincoln and surrounding area students casted a total of 19,698 votes. The results of the 2024 Student Vote will be published at approximately 4 p.m.
