Stanley is recalling 2.6 million switchback and trigger action stainless steel travel mugs in the U.S. due to a potential burn hazard. The company stated that the lid threads can shrink when exposed to heat and torque, causing the lid to detach during use.

Consumers are advised to stop using the mugs and contact Stanley for a full refund.
